Malaria, a glimpse of the invisible
Julien Chraibi. Malaria, a glimpse of the invisible. Acess to medecine, 2008. ⟨halshs-05213546⟩
I carried out this photographic documentation project between 2005 and 2007 in Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso and Togo. The purpose of these images was to raise awareness about malaria and to show what people experience on a daily basis. The images are those that individuals allowed me to photograph. This collection is not entirely focused on the medical aspect; it also aims to raise awareness of the daily lives of people living in exposed countries. Above all, it aims to raise awareness that this is a preventable and curable disease, the cost of treatment for which is still far too high.
