Durante contextos de crise social, econômica ou sanitária, as ações sociais realizadas pelas instituições religiosas constroem importantes redes de solidariedade aos indivíduos em situação de vulnerabilidade, fortalecendo laços sociais e restaurando as suas esperanças. Em Manaus-AM, o Santuário Nossa Senhora Aparecida configura-se como uma das instituições religiosas mais relevantes do catolicismo local, exercendo expressiva influência na vida espiritual, social e cultural da comunidade. Tendo em vista a sua importância religiosa e social para as famílias em situação de vulnerabilidade em Manaus-AM e em outros municípios da Amazônia ocidental, este estudo tem como propósito principal identificar e analisar as ações sociais historicamente desenvolvidas pelo Santuário junto à população urbana e rural. O estudo aborda, ademais, as ações atualmente em desenvolvimento, como, por exemplo, o Projeto Social Redentorista (PROJAR), e analisa a percepção dos fiéis acerca da importância e do impacto dessas iniciativas na dinâmica comunitária. A pesquisa adota uma abordagem qualitativa, utilizando como procedimentos metodológicos a pesquisa bibliográfica, o trabalho de campo, entrevistas semiestruturadas e o monitoramento das mídias sociais da instituição. Os resultados evidenciam a relevância da atuação social dos padres redentoristas, especialmente em períodos nos quais o Estado se mostra ausente ou insuficiente para atender às demandas essenciais da população. Observa-se, ainda, que a atuação do Santuário ultrapassa os limites geográficos de Manaus-AM, estendendo-se a outros municípios da Amazônia ocidental.

During periods of social, economic, or health crises, the social actions carried out by religious institutions build important networks of solidarity for individuals in vulnerable situations, strengthening ties and restoring their hopes.In Manaus-AM, the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora Aparecida stands out as one of the most relevant religious institutions of local Catholicism, exerting significant influence on the spiritual, social, and cultural life of the community. Given its religious and social importance for families in vulnerable situations in Manaus-AM and other municipalities in Western Amazonia, this study aims to identify and analyze the social actions historically developed by the Sanctuary in relation to urban and rural populations.The study also addresses the actions currently being developed, such as the Projeto Social Redentorista(PROJAR), and analyzes the perception of the faithful regarding the importance and impact of these initiatives on community dynamics.The research adopts a qualitative approach, using methodological procedures such as bibliographic research, fieldwork, semi-structured interviews, and monitoring the religious institution's social media.The study highlight the relevance of the social work of the Redemptorist priests, especially during periods when the State is absent or insufficient to meet the essential needs of the population. It is also noted that the actions of the Sanctuary extend beyond the geographical limits of Manaus-AM, reaching other municipalities in Western Amazonia.
