The communication focused on taking into account citizen participation in European policies through the example of the URBACT program. The intervention was structured by the following points : - Context of the emergence of citizen participation and the desire for more local democracy - The place of participation in the process of European integration - Example of an URBACT project carried out in the city of Agen (France) The objective is to try to identify the issues facing the European Union, in its desire to affirm its "democratic" dimension and its openness to "citizen participation".
