Children and young people's leisure time in different regional contexts: social practices, service provision, local policies

The conditions for accessing leisure activities and services are not the same for all children and young people, particularly due to their place of residence, individual characteristics, and social and cultural environment. Similarly, the issue of local policies appears to be an essential factor, not only because of the regulatory measures they are supposed to provide to meet the needs of the population and satisfy social and territorial equity objectives, but also because of their impact on the quality of life of children and their families. All these elements provide a better understanding of the social practices of children and young people, linking them to the services and activities offered in their local areas.
